Thrift and consignment

Wasteland
Wasteland is currently my favorite consignment store for higher end designer goods and investment pieces. You can find brands such as Reformation, Faithfull The Brand, Dolce & Gabanna, Balenciaga, and much more for the fraction of the price and often times there are some items that are still brand new with tags. They have several locations ranging from San Francisco, Santa Monica, Los Angeles (Melrose), and lastly, Studio City, which is my favorite store.

 Crossroads Trading
Crossroads has stores all across the US selling consigned clothing with a wide range of fast fashion clothing such as Forever 21, H&M, Zara, Urban Outfitters, Brandy Melville, American Apparel, and more. I feel like according to my style, Crossroads is often times a hit or a miss for me. My favorite locations is the one in Los Feliz on Sunset Blvd.

St Vincent De Paul
St Vincent De Paul is definitely a hidden gem by the outskirts of Downtown LA in Lincoln Heights. Its basically a giant warehouse full of clothes and furnitures. Sometimes stores like the donate their leftover clothing items in this store so occasionally you can final some pretty good stuff alongside some thrifted goods.

Goodwill
Honestly, Goodwill is also another hit or miss kind of thrift store for me. It is a little bit more over priced compared to your run of the mill thrift store with prices ranging from $5 for a shirt to $15 for outerwear and up depending on the item. There is only one good Goodwill that I am willing to dig through and most of the time find good stuff out is and that is the one in Lincoln Heights. You can occasionally find a good pair of high waisted jeans and outerwear.

Salvation army
This Salvation Army is generally my go-to thrift store for cheap thrift finds. I can always find something good in this store. They tend to hold more semi-vintage goods from the 80's and 90's like pleated shorts and knitted tops.

Depop & Poshmark

I am just gonna group these two together because I think that they are pretty similar in concept and style. Depop and Poshmark are apps that allow you to buy and sell from people just like you as long as you have a smartphone that you can download the app with. I generally like both apps when it comes to buying and selling used clothing, which I have been doing so for the past three years.

With Depop, you are able to negotiate the prices and shipping methods directly and personally with the seller which is something I like because I can have more control over how much I make. They also tend to take less fees compared to Poshmark. On the other hand, Poshmark makes it easier to negotiate prices and allows more serious buyer to make an offer, therefore wasting less time. The only downside to this app is that they tend to take a higher percentage of a fee when you do sell on there, therefore prices listed on Poshmark tends to be a bit more expensive. You will just have to get a feel of both apps before deciding which app you like.

cool girl piercings

Lately I've been obsessing over dainty earrings after taking notice on all the ear-do's that bloggers such as Alyssa Coscarelli and Rachel Nguyen has been rocking. Most of their jewelry consists of super thin and simplistic gold hoops and studs or gemstones that daintily adorn their ears. Formerly seen as edgy, piercings are finally coming back into fashionable again.

They are sophisticated and delicate, everyone seems to be wearing it now that quality jewelry such as gold pieces are becoming increasing readily available online through shops such Mejuri and Etsy, you no longer have to go to a jewelry store to buy gold. These online sellers offers different types of gold pieces at different price points so you are able to buy gold according to your budget. This includes gold plated, gold vermeil, gold filled and solid gold. Gold is no longer only for old ladies and people who can afford it.

Here are some examples of stacks that I adore
